Editorial standards

The rules every brief on MSRX News follows, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.

Neutral and attributed

Briefs report what was said and who said it. We don’t add adjectives or opinions of our own. Every fact is attributed to a named source: a company’s statement, a government, a primary report, or published reporting.

Sources

Every brief ends with five to ten sources, each linked and labelled by type: Official (a statement from someone involved), Primary report (original research or data), or Reporting (other news organisations). Where we can, we link the official statement rather than coverage of it. A numbered marker such as [2] after a sentence names the sources that report it.

What is known, and what isn’t

Each brief keeps what the sources agree on apart from what is still unclear. Dates are the dates the sources give. If a time or a detail wasn’t reported, we say so instead of guessing.

Updates and corrections

Stories change. Whenever a brief changes, its Updated date changes and a dated line is added to the Updates log at the bottom of the brief, saying what changed.

Spotted an error? Tell us, with a link to a source if you have one.

How we use AI

Briefs are prepared with the help of AI assistants, which help gather and summarise published statements and reporting. That help comes with the same rules as everything else here: every fact is attributed, checked against the sources linked at the end of the brief, and marked with the sources that report it.

Every brief is published by Mrinal Singh Raja, who decides what appears on this site. Each brief says so at the end, because readers deserve to know how what they read is made.

Briefs summarise what others have published. They are general information, not original reporting and not legal, financial or other professional advice, and they are provided as they are, without any promise that they are complete or current. Stories develop, so please read the linked sources for the full and latest account. Each fact is attributed to the party that made the claim; a brief reporting a claim does not mean this site endorses it.

Independence

Briefs are published by Mrinal Singh Raja. MSRX News is independent and is not affiliated with the companies or governments it reports on.
